Welcome to Lagos, Luz & Sagres - West Algarve Beach Guide

Praia de Porto de Mòs
A small bay, sheltered by cliffs offering shade for much of the day with a small whitewashed stone wall flanking the length of the beach at the rear. Good car parking with easy access from the road, Porto de Mòs beach is used mainly by the locals because it is located away from the main tourist areas. This means it is only really busy on public holidays or Sundays and that you will have to practice your Portuguese when you order food and drinks.

Surfers congregate here in the early evening when they think the conditions are right for waves and you can watch them from the cafes and snack bars set-up in the car park. The other advantage of a trip to this beach is that you go right past the Ecomarche hypermarket as you come from Lagos town, so you can do your shopping on the way!
